Ten Mile Snopark Facilities - Oregon

New shelter facilities for the snopark.

The addition of restrooms, a warming shelter and a shed completes a renovation of snopark facilities that will meet current and future winter recreation needs in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument.

The following quote from Margie Burrow of the LaPine Lodgepole Dodgers Snowmobile Club, one of the many groups that saw this project through to completion, captures the dedication they brought to this project and their excitement as they finished:

"The doors were hand made and hung. The logs have been stained to protect them from the elements while keeping their natural look. All that's left to do now is install the windows, wait for snow and ENJOY. Thank heavens bruises, bumps, scrapes, nicks and fatigue go away, but the beautiful new warming shelter is here to stay!"
