Seven trail projects and two State programs honored for 2013 are listed below by category of award:
2013 Maintenance and Rehabilitation
Northern Erie Sno-Seekers Trail Grooming - New York
New grooming equipment for some of the best maintained trails in the system.
2013 Construction and Design
East and West Twin Creek Bridges - Michigan
The replacement of the East and West Twin Creek bridges allow for continued safe use of motorized trails.
2013 Education and Communication
School Messaging Program - Minnesota
The School Messaging Project is a multi-level partnership to put positive messages about OHV recreation into schools.
2013 Multiple-Use Management and Corridor Sharing
Longleaf Trace Equestrian Trail Improvements and Extension - Mississippi
The Trace's equestrian trail’s width would not allow access for maintenance equipment.
2013 Accessibility Enhancement
Beaman Park Accessible and Interpretive Trail - Tennessee
Construction of a paved, handicap accessible trail and boardwalk at the Beaman Park Nature Center.
2013 Environment and Wildlife
Seneca Bluffs Trail and Trailhead Facility - Maryland
This project entailed the construction of a new multi-use natural surface trail in Seneca State Park.
2013 Youth Conservation/Service Corps and Community Outreach
Leicester Hollow Loop Trail - Vermont
This project is the result of the outstanding collaborative effort exhibited among federal, state and partner organizations.
2013 Outstanding State Trail Program
West Virginia
This award goes to the Recreational Trails Program administered by the Division of Highways of the West Virginia Department of Transportation.
