American Trails continues our annual contest to seek out the best websites in the cyberworld of trails and greenways. We are looking for sites that really make trails come alive, and provide effective information delivery, support volunteers, and engage the public. In short, we want to showcase ways that advocates and agencies are making a difference for trails. Our contest winners really use the power of the Internet to communicate effectively with trails advocates, users, and the general public. Check out the winners and nominations from 2005 - 2004 - 2003 - 2002 .

Nominate your favorite trail-related website!

  • Awards will be made in a variety of categories to recognize websites of all sizes, types, and interests.
  • Nominate an entire website or just the area of a website that focuses on trails.
  • One site per nomination form, please; tell us who you are and why you're nominating a particular website.
  • Links to all nominated sites will be publicized and added to the American Trails website.
  • Winners in each category will be featured online, in print, and throughout cyberspace!

WHO'S ELIGIBLE: All trail-related sites are eligible; we want to recognize the diversity of the trails community, including urban trails and bikeways, greenways, wilderness hiking trails, motorized routes, and winter trails. Non-profit, government, and commercial sites may all be considered for awards. We're encouraging nomination of websites that are less well known than the national trail group and agency websites.

  • Trails on federal lands
  • Community trails system site (town or county or other local jurisdiction)
  • Trail organization or club website
  • Personal site (for an individual who has developed a site on his or her own)
