American Trails is proud to present this webinar titled “Integrating Habitat & Trails” as a part of the Advancing Trails Webinar Series.

Recent decades have brought increased interest in building trails in urban areas that connect people to work and play. In the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area, where the presenters for this webinar reside, this has sometimes put trail and wildlife advocates at odds.

Attendees will learn about: 

  • The particular needs of urban wildlife
  • Inspiring success stories of trails that improve cities for both people and wildlife
  • How the regulatory permit process doesn’t always go far enough in protecting wildlife
  • Examples of how trails can either harm or potentially benefit wildlife
