The Mississippi River Trail in the Quad Cities area

Date: Saturday, October 21
Time: 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $22.00 (includes box lunch)

Join Joe Taylor, President/CEO, Quad Cities Convention and Visitor's Bureau, for a personal, behind the scenes tour of the Quad Cities' trails and history. Sample the riverfront trails, public art, kiosks, and amenities, plus visit the Quarter in East Moline, John Deere Commons in Moline, and Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island.

Joe will tell you about the Mississippi River Trail, Great River Trail, Grand Illinois Trail and the American Discovery Trail— just a few of the many trails within the Quad Cities region. He will share interesting stories of Quad Cities' history— why the river runs east and west here, why John Deere came here, what Zebuon Pike was doing here before discovering Pikes Peak, and how Jefferson Davis and Abe Lincoln were colleagues in the Black Hawk War.

Refreshments will be served at Whitey's Ice Cream, compliments of the Quad Cities CVB. All trails are flat and hard surfaced.
