MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL "PAINT THE FENCE" WORKSHOP
Date: Thursday October 19
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: No fee, pre-registration required; lunch provided

A ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO HELP COMPLETE A 3,000 MILE TRAIL!

Join Mississippi River Trail, Inc. board of directors, members, partners, and supporters in a hands-on, pro-active session to help build the Mississippi River Trail, one of the nation's sixteen Millennium Trails. It will run the length of the river through the heartland, from Itasca, Minnesota to New Orleans and the Gulf of Mexico! Review examples of state, regional and local MRT strategies/trail development models and join in discussion of opportunities and strategies. We will talk about forging new relationships and bring fresh perspectives to local projects. Help us to identify new projects in each region and to define steps that will help Mississippi River Trail, Inc. succeed in realizing the vision in each of the ten Mississippi River Trail states.

Work along with the nation's leading trail experts and help make the MRT vision a reality! Discuss techniques in trail planning/route development. At the end of the day, join other attendees and Mississippi River Trail board/staff to "paint the town red" with a Quad Cities trail walk and Happy Hour!
