This multi-use trail provides access to significant natural beauty that is unusual in metropolitan areas. William Bartram Trail The North Carolina Bartram Trail Society maintains the 100 mile memorial trail in honor of the Philadelphian naturalist, William Bartram, who traveled throughout the southeast from 1773 to 1777.
