Danny On Memorial National Recreation Trail near Big Mountain, Montana. This trail is located 8 miles north of Whitefish, Montana and is a 6.4 mile hiking trail. The trail is designed to offer six different hikes of various difficulty and experience levels, allows utilization of Big Mountain Ski Resort chairlift to offer easy access to the summit of the 7,000 foot peak of Big Mountain where there are spectacular views (photo by Neil Malkasian).
