National Recreation Trails Photo Contest/Cherokee2NRT..png
The Cherokee Nature Trail and Arboretum is operated as a part of the
Oconaluftee Indian Village, replica of a Cherokee community of the 1750
period. This trail permits the public to view native plants, scenic streams,
speckled trout, Cherokee gardens, and a Cherokee home. The half-mile trail
is in a lush forest setting.(submitted by Margie E. Douthit)
