The Cherokee Nature Trail and Arboretum features an Indian herb and Vegetable
garden in front of a hewn log cabin which was constructed in the late
1800s, and occupied by a aCherokee Inndian family who were descendants
of the great Cherokee stooryteller, Swimmer. The cabin was moved to the
Nature Trail after the former Sallie Swimmer's death in the late 1940s(submitted
by Margie E. Douthit).
