Yellowstone Wildlife Area Equestrian Trail Project Project
sponsor: Yellowstone Wildlife
Area - Darlington, Lafayette County,
Wisconsin
A bridge was constructed across Steiner Brook to allow equestrians to cross the creek without damaging trout habitat and causing erosion. The trail, 30 miles, is used by approximately 1000 users annually. The kind of use necessitates the use of bridges to eliminate aquatic habitat destruction.
