Hosted by AmericanTrails.org Dangermond Group seeks trail planner/designer Application Deadline: July 3, 2007 Associate Planner/Landscape Architect/Landscape Designer with experience in Trails Planning and/or GIS The Dangermond Group (TDG), a small dynamic firm specializing in parks, recreation, and open space planning, is seeking an assistant level planner to expand our firm. TDG focuses on creative planning projects, where people and the environment come together. Our areas of expertise include strategic and master planning, trails planning, open space acquisition, conservation planning and funding, and GIS. The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years professional experience in landscape architecture, design, trails planning, parks and recreation planning, GIS, civil engineering or a related field. We are looking for a self-confident, motivated planner with strong organization and communication skills. The position will primarily involve assisting project managers with planning, mapping, conceptual design, public outreach, analysis, report writing and production. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, design, computer and mapping skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a client-focused service orientation. At least two years experience with ESRI ArcGIS software is preferred, including experience creating maps and data in a team setting.
