Hosted by AmericanTrails.org Adirondack Park Agency seeks Assistant Director of Planning Application Deadline: February 8, 2008 Location: Ray Brook, Essex County, New York Duty Description: Assist in the administration and management of the Adirondack Park Agency's Planning Division, under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Planning. More detailed duty description available upon request. Hours 37.50/week, Monday-Friday Salary: M-2, Hiring Rate: $69,950 Position is Managerial/Confidential (M/C) and Non-Competitive Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Natural Resource Management or related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in regional or natural resource planning. Or Master's Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Natural Resource Management, Landscape Architecture or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in regional or natural resource planning. Experience must include specific experience in policy development and implementation at the regional, state or federal levels. Direct experience with the management of Federal and/or State grants for local governments and/or in the field of energy conservation is important general background experience.
