Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA)
GMHA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting a variety of equestrian activities with a strong emphasis on trails preservation.  Founded in 1926, GMHA is the nation’s oldest continuously operating horse association; the 100 Mile Ride will celebrate its 77th anniversary in 2013.  Throughout the year riders and drivers compete in competitive trail events and engage in pleasure rides.  GMHA members can access over 300 miles of trails.
Mission statement: GMHA is dedicated to providing and maintaining opportunities for educational and competitive activities for diverse equestrian disciplines; emphasis is placed on equestrian trails preservation, horsemanship and youth education.
Scope of the Position
            GMHA is seeking an experienced, dedicated and motivated individual to manage all aspects of its trail activities.  By working harmoniously with staff, volunteers and landowners, the Trails and Rides Manager will ensure that trails are mapped, marked and maintained, that pleasure and competitive trail rides are scheduled, organized and administered, and that the trail-related activities are promoted as an important and integral part of GMHA’s mission.  Additional duties may include promoting GMHA through the media and social networking, and assisting as volunteer coordinator as time allows.

Benefits
Full time salaried position or would consider part time for the right person with salary commensurate with experience.  Note: this is not a 9-5 job and requires a flexible approach to work schedules.   Standard benefit package for full time employees includes health insurance, health savings account, 401(k), and paid time off.
