Friends of Ridgefield NWR Hiring Habitat Restoration Coordinator

Position Description

 

Based at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, the Habitat Restoration Coordinator will be responsible for assisting Ridgefield NWR staff in the implementation of site-specific land management activities. The Coordinator will lead and execute habitat restoration grant obligations in support of Refuge work plan goals and objectives as articulated in the Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge strategic plan. The coordinator will lead habitat restoration projects including plantings, restoration site maintenance, invasive plant control, and recruiting and coordinating Refuge restoration volunteers. The Coordinator will work with Refuge staff to identify and apply for restoration grant funding, and will be responsible for managing, reporting, and meeting habitat restoration grant funding obligations. Work will take place at the Refuge (including projects at NWRs in the Gorge) and adjoining watersheds/lands. This position will be supported by Refuge awards and outside grant funding, as available.
