The trail follows the shoreline of the Lick Creek embayment to emerge on high bluffs that offer a spectacular view of Kentucky Reservoir. Features include ancient cedar trees, limestone outcroppings, streams, upland hardwood forests, and a fine vantage point from which to observe migrating waterfowl at the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge on the opposite shore.
