Trailhead located at end of Forest Road 536 (Fort Bayard Road) 6 miles east of Silver City.


Trail begins at trailhead near Fort Bayard. Another NRT (Sawmill) also starts here. The trail crosses through pinion pine-juniper hills and winds its way into ponderosa pine forest near Signal Peak.
