This six-mile hike up a steep canyon-side and through a coniferous forest ends at an overlook that offers the stalwart hiker a spectacular view down in to Trout Creek Canyon and the surrounding countryside. The trail is rated as difficult due to its elevation gain and length and is not recommended as a first hike of the season or for hikers not looking for a real physical challenge.
