As the birthplace of the DuPont Company, the museum trail commemorates Delaware's historical contribution to industry and technology. Overlooking the scenic Brandywine River, the outdoor museum trail demonstrates early American industry at its most innovative. The paved and semi-paved walking trails guide patrons through the ruins of the original black powder mills as well as beatifully restored duPont family homes.
