Location: NE of Fresno, from Anberry take Powerhouse Rd. N, left on Smalley Rd. to end.

Located 5 miles northwest of Auberry, in San Joaquin River Gorge. Access by Smalley Road, off Power House Road, north of Auberry. Trailhead/parking on Fresno County side of river, main trail is in Madera County, reached by equestrian bridge.

Description

Two sections - north is 6 mile loop into chaparral uplands - shrubs and wildflowers. South (4 miles) connects with Millerton Lake recreation area/trail. deer, quail. Waterfowl, rabbit, squirrel etc. Both follow the river through oak wood, foothill pines.
