American Trails and NTTP Support Accessibility
In 1998 Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act with Section 508 with the intention of eliminating barriers in information technology and opening new opportunities to persons with disabilities. A portion of these guidelines, as set by the U.S. Access Board (www.access-board.gov) apply to web-based intranet and Internet information and applications (1194.22) .
American Trails and the National Trails Training Partnership strive to provide a great online resource of trail-related information. It is our intention provide access to this information to all persons and be in full compliance to the Section 508 standards for websites throughout both www.AmericanTrails.org and www.TrailsTraining.net, on both web pages and downloadable documents.
If you have any difficulty accessing content on www.AmericanTrails.org or www.TrailsTraining.net, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (530) 547-2060 and let us know of the issue and we will work quickly to provide you with an accessible option to that content.
For the trails training information and programs, please see the National Trails Training Partnership (NTTP) at www.TrailsTraining.net.
