The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) flies directly into Phoenix, Arizona and is a short 35-minute shuttle/taxi ride to the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort, where the 2013 American Trails International Symposium is held. This airport flies to 20 international locations and over 80 domestic locations.  Some of their main carriers are Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, Jet Blue, Southwest, and United.


The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA) flies into Mesa, Arizona and is a 30-minute shuttle/taxi ride to the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort, where the 2013 American Trails International Symposium is held.  This airport flies to select major cities across the United States and does not fly international.  Their carries include, Allegiant, Frontier Airlines, and Spirit Airlines.

Super Shuttle:  Super Shuttle offers a shared van ride from the airport to your hotel/from your hotel to the airport for $34 each way per person or save and book round trip with Super Shuttle for $58 per person. Transtyle Transportation:  Transtyle Transportation provides a luxury service of picking you up in a town car from the airport to your hotel and back.  Town cars from the airport to your hotel are $60 per car.  Please call  (480) 948-613to make your reservation.

AAA Yellow Cab Company: Provides a 24/7 service with a $15 To The Airport Special (for the first 10 miles only).  They offer taxi cabs, mini-vans , and 15 passenger vans.  Call (480) 888-8888 to book your taxi, or book online.
VIP Taxi: Provides a 24/7 taxi service.  There are multiple ways to book your taxi with VIP Taxi, you can either call (602) 300-3000, book online, or text in your reservation.






Arizona Outback Adventures offers bicycle rentals at an hourly rate and daily rate.  They rent road, mountain, childres, comfort and touring, tandem, tag-along bikes, and bike racks.  They are located in North Scottsdale at the foot of the McDowell Mountains.  If you don’t want to pick your bike up at their location, they offer a delivery service to your hotel as well.  For prices and reservations please visit their website or call (480) 945-2881.  Store Hours: Mon-Sat:  9am-6pm  Sunday: 9am-1pm.


Bike Barn is located in Phoenix, Arizona and offers a variety of bike rentals.  They rent bike at an hourly rate, as well as daily.  Please visit their website or call (602) 956-3870 for prices and reservations.  Store Hours: Mon, Wed & Fri: 9am-6pm  Tues & Thurs: 9am-7pm  Sat: 5am-5pm  Sunday: 11am-4pm





Enterprise Rent-A-Car has been chosen as the official car rental company for the Symposium with locations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX), Phoenix Mesa Gateway, and at the conference location Radisson Fort McDowell. By using the customer number (L50C005) and the first three letters of the group’s name, INT, you can save 5% off market online price at the time of booking. FREE mileage within the state of Arizona for daily and weekly miles. No charge for fuel if vehicle is returned with the same level of fuel. There are two ways to book your car:

PREFERRED: Go to Choose your location and then choose your dates and times. Put your customer number in at the bottom of the reservation box (L50C005). The next page is going to prompt you for the first 3 letters of the organization’s name – type in INT. Your discount will be pre-loaded.

AZ Trails Travel

Fountain Hills 1st Annual Cyclovia

Visit Fountain Hills, AZ for their first Annual Cyclovia, where they close of the several streets downtown to vehicular traffic.  This is a free event to the public on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 10am-4pm.  Fountain Hills is encouraging cyclists, walkers, runners, skaters, and all others to participate in and enjoy physical activities, vendors, food, and drinks.

The Grand Canyon

Receiving close to five million visitors each year is the forever stunning Grand Canyon National Park.  The Grand Canyon is approximately 277 miles long, 18 miles wide and one mile in depth!  Take the Bright Angel Trail to hike and see its beauty.  Camping, lodging and restaurants in the park are open year round but reservations are strongly recommended. Kartchner Caverns

The limestone caverns are located in southeastern Arizona.  The cave's existence became public knowledge in 1988 when its purchase was approved as an Arizona State Park. Extraordinary precautions have been taken during its development to conserve the cave's near-pristine condition. They offer 1½ hour tours through the cavern. The Fountain in Fountain Hills, AZ

Go see the once listed “World’s Tallest Fountain,” shooting up to 560ft in the air! Located in the city of Fountain Hills, AZ. It starts operating each hour on the hour for fifteen minutes at 9am and stops at 9pm. Make sure to see it in the day time and at night, for at night is illuminated by lights from below.
