Hosted by AmericanTrails.org State of Idaho seeks Regional Trails Specialist Application Deadline: September 4, 2007 Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation has an opportunity for a Regional Trails Specialist in our East Region Office in Idaho Falls. The person in this position will be responsible for working with other regional staff, partner agencies and users to identify, develop and maintain OHV recreational facilities; promoting appropriate recreation use by implementing and coordinating outdoor education programs; monitoring program performance for compliance with funding, legal parameters and department agreements/MOUs. In this position you will serve as a liaison among the department, various user groups, the public, and other agencies to provide information, technical assistance and identify/assess needs; hire and train seasonal staff and be responsible for managing the trails program budget for the East Region. Because employees operate a motorized trail bike, snowmobile and ATV on narrow, steep mountainous trails, you may be required to demonstrate your ability to navigate a motorized off highway vehicle.
