City of Columbia has a planning and design position available in Public Works/Engineering requiring expertise in addressing bicycle and pedestrian transportation & recreation needs. Requires Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture or closely related area with advanced degree highly desirable + 5 yrs professional experience. Requires background in the planning/designing of bicycle and pedestrian transportation and recreation systems and projects at the state, regional or local level. Works with advocacy committees and organizes workshops and events. Able to prepare accurate plans, specifications, cost estimates and engineering reports. Computer skill needed and experience in computer-aided design. Possession of valid MO Driver's License. Official City of Columbia application must be submitted to HR Dept by deadline of 5 pm, July 5.
