Senior Planning Manager: Alta Planning + Design is seeking an experienced professional to help manage our Portland Planning Team. The selected professional should have significant experience managing people in a fast-faced, private sector environment. Must have experience managing projects and project teams, consulting experience, and knowledge of and interest in the non-motorized transportation field.
The ideal candidate:
Loves creating active communities where bicycling and walking are safe, healthy, fun, and normal daily activities
Is an excellent and experienced manager of people, projects, and plans;
Wants to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and super-fun work environment;
Can/will/wants to travel
Has excellent writing, marketing, presentation, and communication skills
Has solid experience in the field of creating more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly communities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Workload Management
Performance Analysis (Team and Individual)
Quality Control
Staff Mentoring
Necessary qualifications:
· Minimum 5-8 years experience
· Bachelors degree required; Masters in Urban Planning or related field preferred
Salary: $70-95,000. Alta offers excellent benefits, flexible work schedules, and a fun, collaborative work environment with an extremely dedicated and skilled group of planners and designers.
